This small island in the frigid North Atlantic ocean is without a doubt the world’s most popular destination for landscape photography. The main road around the island often passes just a few kilometers from countless glaciers, waterfalls and glacial lagoons. There are few places on our planet where one can so easily witness such an extreme winter landscape. Add to that the extreme latitude which produces sunsets that last 2 hours as well as the opportunity to witness the Aurora Borealis and any photographer is in absolute heaven.
